I work best with adults who are motivated to foster change. They are dedicated to figuring out what the next step is in their lives. That could be within their career, interpersonal relationships or their relationship with themselves just to name a few. Clients I work with are open to exploring how their experiences in the past have shaped how they see the world today. Together, we utilize our creative superpowers to help them overcome negative thoughts, unhealthy behavior patterns and challenges with trusting their ability to make sound decisions. Feel free to take the quiz to see if we are a good fit for one another. If so, book a consult call so that we can get to work!

You can think of our 20 free minute consultation as an opportunity for us to get a feel for each other and to determine if I will be the best fit to support you in creating the life you desire and for me to determine if my skillset is the right fit for your needs. I’ll ask you about what brings you to therapy, how are you hoping to be supported and I’ll share what you can expect from me as your therapist. You can ask me as many questions as you’d like. If it feels like a good match, we’ll proceed with scheduling your first session and get to work!

At this current time, I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Cigna and United Healthcare. If you have another insurance plan that accepts out of network providers (PPO plans), I will gladly support you should you desire to submit for reimbursement on your own by providing you with a superbill (a monthly review of your invoices) to give to your insurance carrier.

I am aware of the countless benefits to therapy and that for some, costs serve as a barrier. To address such concern, I offer services at a reduced rate beginning at $75 based upon a questionnaire. At this current time, all sliding scale slots are filled.

Consider the first session is as. an opportunity for you to release your concerns and discuss who you currently feel you are in life. I’ll be here to listen and ask you a questions to strive to figure out what may be causing it. If this is your first time in therapy and you’re feeling a little nervous about this process, we’ll even talk about that too and I hope I can provide you with some comfort in realizing how much of an accomplishment it is to commit to working on and improving you!

One thing I always want people to know is that I am a human first before I am a therapist. Just like you, I am striving to show up as my best self each day, and I can relate to you that doing so is HARD! As your therapist, you can always expect that I will demonstrate authenticity, integrity and compassion. I’m here to help you navigate the roadblocks you experience with care by acknowledging your strengths and sometimes that may require calling you out to help you see how you can continue to grow. While I strive for perfection, I accept that I fall short at times and I’m willing to acknowledge my faults. My ethical duties as a licensed provider are always placed at the forefront of the work I do in which I am committed to continued learning, being reliable and timely and communicating with you every step of the way

Therapy is not a one size fit all process and the areas of growth each person wants to focus on may require different levels of commitment. To ensure I that I fully review all of your concerns, our first 4 sessions are weekly to ensure we work as a team to fully review your history and to create your treatment plan.
Once your fully history has been reviewed and goals have been identified, I encourage you to participate in therapy either weekly or biweekly. As you continue to progress in treatment, our sessions will decrease and serve as a check-in on how you are maintaining all of the progress you have made throughout our journey together.

We will meet virtually via Simple Practice which is an electronic health record system that is within compliance with federal guidelines to protect your privacy. I currently have sessions Tuesdays-Thursdays with sessions beginning as early as 9:30 am and the latest session beginning at 5:30 pm.

It all depends on the goals set during treatment and the amount of effort put forth in being receptive to the information you learn and utilizing the skills taught during sessions. Remaining committed to your goals and actively playing a part of this journey will help you to see the growth you are hoping to make throughout this process.
For all clients that I work with, I request that you commit to at least 6 sessions to begin to see benefits and at least 6 months to really see progression with your goals. For those interested in a special introductory package to give therapy a try, please click here for more information.

Yes we will! Even while talking, I have found that the use of metaphors has been extremely helpful for clients to process information.
It’s also important to recognize that all thoughts and feelings do not have words that can articulate our experience. As I am currently an expressive arts therapist in training, we will engage in a variety of practices that may include mindfulness, drawing, writing, role playing, etc. that are intended to support your wellness. The best part is that no experience is required :-) These practices are not to assess your artistic capabilities and are more focused on offering you release, the ability to process and build your intuition. -
Sometimes this happens and the journey towards freedom and authenticity varies from person to person. If you have tried therapy before and wonder if this experience will be the same, please know that I try my best to provide you with an experience that is uniquely yours and cultivates the change you desire to see within yourself. It is also important to note that while I am here to support you on the journey, you must do the work to see the change which includes making sure you attend and participate in your appointments, completing self-care assignments and applying what we do in session to real life situations.
If you find that the work we are doing is not beneficial, please know that this is a safe place to express that. I will support you in exploring options to support your growth which includes possibly changing how we conduct our sessions, finding a therapist who better matches your needs or determining what other types of resources may be helpful for you.
