Before you begin filling in the pages of your journal, know that this journal was created with you and the planet in mind. Before you throw any shipping packaging away, know that it is 100% biodegradable. If you enjoy gardening, this item can be used in your compost. You can chuck in the trash and know that you are taking a small step to improve climate change as this item will decompose without adding additional gases into the environment. And the pages within the journal are made from premium recycled paper, meaning you are embodying a sustainable lifestyle. Look at you Captain Planet!

The therapeutic process is filled with so many transformative moments that it can be challenging to remember it all. Utilizing this journal serves to help you well after you’ve graduated from therapy as you can reflect on its pages to remind you of all that you are and the skills you have to navigate the challenges that come your way.

Inclusivity and Accessibility

As a left handed person myself, I know the struggles of having ink or pencil smeared on your hand as you write. or not being able to write more because your hand is constantly running into bind of the notebook. With it’s spiral design and pages aligned to the left and right hand sides of the page rather than the center, it was thoughtfully designed for both right and left-handed users. Comfort was a primary focus in creating this journal and know that it was created to be accessible to as many people as possible.

Review your reasons for therapy, what you need to succeed and what work you are willing to put in to support your growth. After taking those steps and finding a therapist who you feel will best support you, utilize the journal to help you brainstorm on your goals for therapy and an action plan to help you when symptoms feel unbearable.

Navigating the Ride

Once you’ve gotten into your flow with your therapist, you can capture insight and reflections from each of your therapy sessions that will support you in creating a tangible record of your healing and evolution. With session notes, you can regularly assess your well-being and emotional state. It will also support you in identifying patterns, celebrate victories and navigate challenges. Use the dot journal pages to complete assignments in between sessions or to reflect on your experiences on your own in between sessions. Quarterly check -in pages give you the opportunity to review the progress you have made and how your therapist is supporting you on your journal. At the end of your journal, take time to further reflect, understand your needs and take the next steps on your journey.
